Clinical Director for Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Paul Richardson is currently Clinical Director for Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Royal Liverpool NHS Trust.
Paul qualified from Newcastle university in 1990 and trained in gastroenterology in Nottingham. He then subspecialised in Hepatology at Kings London.
Paul has been a a consultant Hepatologist since 2006 and is currently clinical director for gastroenterology and hepatology at the Royal Liverpool NHS Trust. He has worked as a clinical advisor for Liverpool CCG and currently works within the elective care and alcohol work streams for the Cheshire and Merseyside STP.
Mr Paul Rae has 37 years’ experience of working in public sector health, both in the UK and New Zealand. He has worked as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in South Manchester, as well as being Clinical Director of Trauma at Wigan, Wrightington and Leigh FT.
His most recent appointment was Clinical Director of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Southland Hospital in New Zealand.
Consultant Endoscopist and and Gastroenterologist
Dr Haslam is a Consultant Endoscopist and Gastroenterologist at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
Dr Haslam qualified as a doctor in 1988 from Manchester University Medical School. Following general training he moved to Bristol and the South West of England as a Gastroenterology trainee. He completed his 12-year period as a trainee and was appointed Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Bury General Hospital. He is currently one of eight Consultant Endoscopists at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital where he is deputy director of the Mersey School of Endoscopy and Deputy Medical Director
Dr Haslam was formerly Chair of the JAG QA of Units Committee and is currently Co-Chair of the C&M Cancer Alliance Endoscopy project and SRO for the STP Elective care programme.
