We want consultants in all included specialties to benefit from NCIP’s tailored activity and outcomes data – and we need your help.
We want to you become one of our NCIP Champions, to help shape its future development, and to encourage and support your colleagues to use the platform.

Advocate locally
- Tell colleagues about NCIP
- Present NCIP at department and trust meetings
- Connect NCIP to trust priorities
Support peers
- Show colleagues how to use NCIP
- Advocate for NCIP to your trust’s clinical leadership, including medical directors and responsible officers
- Help resolve data quality concerns
Learn and share
- Attend quarterly Champions Network meetings
- Contribute to discussions and help find solutions
- Share your local successes
- Support NCIP team demos to other units in your specialty
- Input to future development
To receive CPD points you need to:
- Attend quarterly network meetings (1.5 points per session)
- Identify opportunities to raise awareness of NCIP within your trust, eg department and trust-level meetings, or with your clinical leadership team
- Hold informal conversations with colleagues as opportunities arise
What support you get from the national team?
- Regular webinars: allowing you to hear from the national team, interact with each other, ask questions and give feedback
- A dedicated Future NHS site: where you can network with each other and access materials
- Support materials: to help you engage colleagues across your trust
- Demos from national team members: to showcase NCIP to your colleagues, on request

NCIP can be used by:
- consultants,
- responsible officers,
- medical directors (and their delegates)
- specialty clinical leads for the included specialties
Due to low number suppression, your data will show in NCIP once you have completed six or more of any procedure included in the dashboards.
