New report into the GIRFT programme published by think tank

The King’s Fund has given the Getting It Right First Time programme a positive review in a new report. Author Nick Timmins interviewed the GIRFT team and clinicians to write his report, accompanying Professor Tim Briggs on a number of his trust visits.

In reviewing the programme, the report said: “The evidence to date suggests that the GIRFT programme is achieving what it has set out to achieve – higher-quality care in hospitals at lower cost – with the engagement of both clinicians and management in the process.”
