The GIRFT rheumatology team will be at the British Society for Rheumatology annual conference in Birmingham from 30 April to 2 May 2019.

GIRFT clinical leads Dr Lesley Kay, Dr Peter Lanyon and Prof Alex MacGregor, along with their project manager Rachel Davies, will be on hand to answer any questions relating to the programme and its wider impact on the NHS.

The rheumatology workstream is now well underway. With a 100% response from trusts to their questionnaire, the team will be piloting GIRFT data packs this spring. The packs bring together sources of national data, allowing teams to identify areas of variation, pinpoint areas for improvement and share good practice.

The team will then take the data packs on the road from the summer onwards, visiting all trusts providing rheumatology services.
