We are thrilled to announce that SPaedIT, our innovative paediatric surgery data tool, has been awarded ‘Data Integration Project of the Year’ at the prestigious HSJ Partnership Awards.
Developed by GIRFT and NHS England’s Children and Young People (CYP) Transformation team, working with partners Edge Health UK and the GIRFT projects team at RNOH, SPaedIT has been making a real impact since its launch in 2023. Designed to support the recovery of paediatric elective surgery and services, this tool is helping NHS teams deliver better outcomes for children and young people across the country.
What is SPaedIT?
SPaedIT (Summary Paediatric Indicator Table) is an easy-to-use dashboard that brings together provider-level data on demand, capacity, flow, and outcomes – all in one place. Updated monthly, it provides insights across eight key paediatric surgical specialties and more than 40 metrics. With this tool, NHS teams can:
- Evaluate elective performance
- Identify bottlenecks and challenges
- Focus their improvement efforts where it matters most
