The GIRFT Non-Ambulatory Fragility Fracture (NAFF) pathway - creating equitable access to care for fragility fracture patients

Hosted by Professor Tim Briggs and Bob Handley, this webinar will discuss GIRFT’s newly published Non-Ambulatory Fragility Fracture (NAFF) pathway.  The guidance draws on best practice treatment for NAFF patients and focuses on the importance of ensuring all NAFF patients are given equitable access to care.

NAFF patients require significant input from multiple specialty teams and the webinar will draw on the expertise of clinicians from different specialties and professional groups.

Elective surgical hub masterclass: an overview of the hub accreditation programme

Professor Tim Briggs, chair of Getting it Right First Time (GIRFT) and NHS England’s National Director for Clinical Improvement and Elective Recovery, is hosting this masterclass to present an overview of the programme and its progress. 

We will hear from experts in hubs that have been through the accreditation programme and learn about their improvement journey and the impact of the accreditation programme on their operational efficiency.

Getting it right in adult orthopaedic trauma – the GIRFT national report

Bob Handley, GIRFT clinical lead for adult orthopaedic trauma is hosting this webinar to discuss the newly published GIRFT national report for Adult Orthopaedic Trauma.  He will be discussing the findings and recommendations in the report, emphasising the importance of the multidisciplinary team in ensuring equitability of care for orthopaedic trauma patients.

Elective surgical hub: paediatric masterclass

For all clinical, operational and administrative staff working in elective hubs, this is the fourth masterclass in this series and will focus on paediatric surgery.  

Professor Tim Briggs, chair of Getting it Right First Time (GIRFT) and NHS England’s National Director for Clinical Improvement and Elective Recovery, and Professor Simon Kenny, National Clinical Director for Children and Young People at NHS England, will present on the development of the paediatric module as part of the accreditation programme.

We will hear from experts highlighting their paediatric work in their elective hubs.

Improving elective recovery performance using v3 of GIRFT’s Summary Paediatric Indicator Table (SPaedIT)

Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) and the CYP Transformation team have again updated their SPaedIT data tool to further support providers in understanding their performance to help boost elective recovery for children and young people.

Professor Simon Kenny, GIRFT clinical lead for paediatric general surgery and urology and NHS England’s National Clinical Director for children and young people, is hosting this third webinar in this series to provide an overview and demonstration of the SPaedIT, and highlight its improvements, uses and benefits.
